“The Redcliff impresses as a meticulously maintained Victorian hotel right on Weymouth's beachfront; the location alone is a draw, a short and pleasant walk from the town center. What stands out, though, is the hotel's dedication to hospitality, with personalized service and thoughtful touches throughout, including being pet friendly. I particularly appreciate the emphasis on a high-quality breakfast featuring locally sourced ingredients-a fine way to start the day with sea views.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews

Guests consistently praise the location, with the beach being right outside and the town centre within a ten-minute walk, making attractions like the Pavilion easily accessible. Many enjoyed the spacious rooms, some offering panoramic sea views where guests could fall asleep to the sound of the sea. The breakfast receives high marks, with personal touches and options like Heinz baked beans and vegetarian/vegan choices being appreciated; some guests, however, noted issues with shower temperature. The availability of single rooms at single prices, along with amenities such as fresh milk in the fridge, also contributes to the positive experiences reported.

mixed feelings about this stay

amazing breakfastchipped painttraffic noise
The breakfast was amazing. A surprising highlight in an otherwise unremarkable stay.
I was quite disappointed with my room. it needed some serious updating. Chipped paint and holes in the plaster were visible. also, the room overlooked a busy main road, so traffic noise kept me awake at night.

The room was super clean. It offered comfort throughout my stay. The breakfast was perfect. It was fresh and delicious. It was clearly made with care.
The entrance looked quite run down. The wallpaper in the hallway was very faded. I also noted empty flower pots, which wasn't the best first impression. The room looked very tired. I saw torn wallpaper in several places.
